Hello everyone!
Many, many years ago, there were a lot of cosplay blogs around. I used to have one myself, too. We posted progress of our costumes, tutorials, convention reviews... we also followed and commented on each other's posts. It was one of my favorite things back in the day, and I'm slightly sad that we all dropped them eventually.
Now the internet has focused on video format and even if it's a cool way to show our work, I miss the old days of writing and reading. That's why, after seeing Nebulaluben back to the blog format, I have been considering doing it myself too. Lately, what I did was posting long threads on twitter of my builds, and it's nice to connect with people, but the character limit also makes it a bit... rushed? The video format is great, and I love watching reels and tiktoks, but when it comes to myself... Well, it's hard for me to focus on a build and try to record at the same time. I already struggle to remember taking pics while working on a cos, let alone recording!
And I feel like I cannot talk about the process of my costumes as much as I wanted, which is what I'm most passionate about.
There's no way to tell how many posts I will be making, but so far, I have a list of coming up stuff, such as: how I made the red lyrium idol, how I made my Hawke cosplay, and now I made my Shinobu cosplay. I am still unsure if I will be posting here the progress of my TOC project, or I will do it once everything is done, but I will do it sooner or later. Also, expect a full proper post of the trip to Vienna and the contest! :)
Last but not least: after thinking about it, I think most of the entries will be in English because that's how I want to focus my social media, and it's good for practice! However, you can translate any post to Spanish and comment in Spanish as well :)
That would be all for my first entry, I'm so excited for this! As I said, I don't know the frecuency that this blog will have, but I will try to upload stuff as much as I can. I really hope that you like this project, and please do not hesitate to engage with it! Comments, questions, anything is welcome! ♥
